Ultimate Hawker Fest ('UHF2014') is back. One of the popular event by
TOUCH Community Service, to raise awareness and fundraising at the
same time. Chubby Botak Koala feels that this is a perfect event,
where everyone can enjoy the Ultimate Hawker Food and doing a good
deed at the same time.
UHF2014
will focus on celebrating Singapore Hawker Heritage part of
Singapore's Jubilee (SG50) Celebrations. This year, the curator of
the event are our fellow food bloggers (known as the Ultimate
Bloggers: Maureen Ow (www.MissTamChiak.com);
Derrick Tan (www.SgFoodOnFoot.com)
and Ian Low (www.TheSilverChef.blogspot.sg).
Let just say, they definitely know a thing or two about food, and I
personally saw first hand on how much hard work they have put in this
with their own expenses. Kudos to them!

This
gourmet fest will be showcase in 3 food zones: The
Ultimate Original Recipe [食代相传]
zone honours the heritage of pioneer generation hawkers through
stalls helmed by chefs from the second, third and fourth generations
of pioneers. The Ultimate Pursuit of Happiness [食膳为心]
zone features budding chefs and hawkers who have been driven by their
passion for food to leave jobs in other sectors to join the culinary
industry. Last but not least, The Ultimate Ingredients [食材科举]
zone, a mainstay of previous editions of UHF, will once again
showcase traditional fare made with the finest ingredients to create
‘ultimate’ versions of the original dish.
