As we enter the month of August 2015, the spirit of commemoration to celebrate our nation Golden Jubilee birthday are high. At Oscar's, the team has prepared a sumptuous spread of local delights such as Chilli Crab, Crispy Fried Squid with Salted Egg, Oyster Omelette and Oscar's Signature Homemade Waffles in patriotic red.

Meanwhile, the main attraction is none other than SG50 theme Lapis. The layer alternated between Red and White, with a unique “Bandung” Flavoured available in the buffet section of Oscar's. If you want to purchase this SG50 Lapis only, it is available at The Terrace at $75 nett for 1 kg size.

Walking past the newly opened Bottura on second floor of Suntec City Mall, you will probably think, “Wow! What a huge Gelato desserts bar!” Well, you are not wrong. Bottura is a full fledged modern Italian Restaurant hailed from Bologna, Italy. Overseeing the first overseas expansion for Bottura is Luca Bottura, fifth generation of restaurateur who was a banker before his passion of food come calling. Unlike other authentic Italian restaurant in Singapore, Bottura aims to be your affordable day to day restaurant.

Gone are those candles, dim lights, table clothes and padded chairs. Instead, in Bottura you will find modern and simplicity with a touch of industrial theme of the restaurant. There are even a high bench tables with tall stools and low lighting that nicknamed “Instagramer Tables”.

Woorinara Korean Restaurant has opened another branch in West Coast Community Centre. This Korean restaurant has been gathering loyal followers since they opened the first outlet in Lorong Kilat. Their recipe for success are none other than good food and reasonable pricing. Well it does help if you have a head chef that won many accolades in cooking competition in South Korea and China.

While waiting for our meal, we were served with their side dish / bachan. There are about 11 type of them, with their aged Kim Chi getting the seal of approval from Little Devil ('LD')
