Mad For Garlic

Mad For Garlic is a first garlic-theme Italian restaurant originated from Korea. The first restaurant open its door in 2001, in Southern Seoul. Due to its unique and innovative garlic specialised menu, Mad For Garlic ('MFG') become one of the most popular Italian restaurants in Korea. They even won Best Performing Italian Restaurant Concept in Korea in 2013.

MFG Suntec City is the first overseas restaurant outside Korea, which started its operation in 2010.
Went through the renovation and reopen with new décor in May 2013

We started with Sauteed Mussel ($31.50). There are two options of the sauce, tomato or garlic cream. Garlic cream sauce got our vote. The mussels are plump, juicy and succulent. The cream and mince garlic work wonders to accentuate the flavour of the mussels. We used the soft bread to soak up all the mussels goodness in the gravy and polished it off.

Roosevelt's Diner and Bar ('Roosevelt's') is a dining destination located behind the Dorsett Residence at H exit of Outram MRT. When you turn to face the diner, you will notice their eye catching logo of teddy bear smoking a cigar. This remind me of the movie TED, that featured the naughty R rated teddy bear.

Back to the food, Roosevelt's just revamped their brunch menu and we are here to give it a try. Currently brunch menu is available up to 6PM daily.

We started with something light and healthy. Shiitake Sesame Salmon ($18). This salad bowl featured a healthy ingredients and super food. The plating is so attractive, made it difficult not to try it. The salmon was sous-vide, allowing it to retain the juice with moist and flaky texture. The tofu, mushroom, edamame and pomegranate contribute variety texture and flavour to the dish. While the sesame dressing bind all the ingredients and flavour together.

The RawR Kitchen is a Microbrewery cum bistro located in the new industrial area of Bukit Batok. This Micro Brewery is the home base for On Tap Fresh Brew Craft Beer, which is known for their English Bitter brew, a heavily hoppy incarnation of an under-appreciated beer style.

Notice from these water taps, oopps, I mean beer taps, Currently, there are 11 different type of craft beer: Root Beer, Seasonal, Wheat Beer, Orange Cider, Cranberry Cider, Brown Ale, Pilsner, English Bitter, Dunkel, India Pale Ale (IPA) and Stout. [CLOSED] My Dining Room - Excellent Cantonese Restaurant

My Dining Room

My Dining Room, a Cantonese Restaurant which open its door after the renovation of the dining wing in Suntec City. This restaurant was first known to us when LD's colleagues brought her there for her birthday lunch.

Based on LD's glowing recommendation, we decided to go there for her dad's birthday. We decided to order Roast Suckling Pig and Abalone Set Menu ($499++ for 10 pax).

The Setting

First item served is Roasted Suckling Pig. The skin of the pig is crispy and beautifully crumble in your mouth, in the typical Cantonese roast. Each cuts is about 5 cm in length and with, making it enjoyable for everyone to savour. Yum Yum PORKGASM.

Coffin Bay Oysters. This South Australian Oysters are fresh and plum. I like my oysters simple, with a touch of lemon. You can taste the simple freshness of the oyster when it glides down your throat. A good start to the buffet.
