Greenwood Fish Market Quayside Isle – Remarkable Seafood Dining Experience in Sentosa

NZ Littleneck Clams

Greenwood Fish Market and Bistro (‘GFMB’) at Quayside Isle is a one of a must visit dining destination in Sentosa. Located in the most upscale residential district in Singapore, GFMB sure offers one of the best dining experiences in Singapore.

The best seat in the bistro is their outdoor seating. During our visit that evening, the weather is windy and slightly chilly, making it perfect to sit outdoors and enjoy the breeze. The rows of gorgeous yachts docked at the marina definitely amped up dining experience.

Once you completed your order, they will serve you warm bread basket. It crisp and fluffy and absolutely beautiful with some butter on it. We actually want to order another basket, but we decided to stop as we got lots of food coming. Hint: The bread basket does not come with butter as there are olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table, so you need to ask from the service staff.

First to arrive are the oysters. We have Sentinelles Speciale ($12 for 2) and Coromandel NZ ($8 for 2) as it was only LD and me slurping the oysters. Both oysters are fresh, sweet, plump and slightly briny. We are not oyster connoisseurs, we just enjoy our oysters.

On Wednesday, GFMB has sashimi specials, Swordfish Belly Sashimi ($14.95), Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi ($11.95), and Salmon Sashimi ($11.95). Their regular prices are $19.95 and $18.95 respectively. We ordered three of them and they are huge and fresh. I am most impressed with their yellowfin tuna almost like the maguro grade sashimi. Awesome!!

Next up is NZ Littleneck Clams ($21.95). We wanted the mussels, unfortunately, they run out on that day. The clams were a good replacement, they are juicy, succulent with a touch of springiness to it. Meanwhile, the broth is buttery and exudes a nice grape aroma from the white wine. We ordered Regular Fries ($9.95) so we can dip with the broth, however, it came after we almost finish the clams.

Regular Fries

Seafood Chowder ($13.95). It is creamy, filled with solid essence from the seafood. The ingredients are generous; however, it was a tad heavy on the pepper.

Since there are four people, we decided to share the main meal Seafood Basket ($38.95) and Whole Fish, Sea Bream – Grilled ($89.95). The fried seafood basket contains battered oysters, prawns, fish and scallops. Nicely deep fried, while it maintains the juiciness of the seafood. I overlook the part where it comes with fries, so at the end, we did not touch the fries here. Recommend for sharing.

The grilled Sea Bream is grilled to perfection. Nicely charred externally, while internally the flesh remains moist and flaky. It is served with mash sweet potato, baked vegetables together with truffle sauce and garlic butter sauce. Both the sauces are just Yummy and I actually dipped the some of the fried seafood into this sauce. Yum Yum.

The service staff here are friendly and provides good recommendation according to your likings. Making it a wonderful dining experience. Taking into account the location, the price of the food is reasonable.

Overall, Greenwood Fish Market and Bistro at Quayside Isle is definitely a dining destination that you must consider when it comes to seafood. The price, service and quality of the food are just remarkable. Cheers!!

  1. Fish Market and Bistro is not a place for me. I seldom eat a fish.
